Privacy Policy

Overview

Black Magic Consulting ("BMC," "we," "us") operates justblackmagic.com. This policy describes what information we collect when you use the site, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect as little as possible and do not use advertising or cross-site tracking.

Information we collect

• Contact form submissions. When you submit our contact form, we collect the information you provide (name, email, company, message). This is stored in a database hosted on Cloudflare so we can reply.
• Newsletter signups. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address so we can send updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records standard request metadata — IP address, user agent, request time, referring URL — for security, abuse prevention, and basic operational troubleshooting. We do not attempt to associate these logs with individual identities.
• Bot protection. Forms on this site use Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish humans from automated bots. Turnstile may collect limited device and browser signals during this check. It does not set advertising cookies or build cross-site profiles.

What we do not do

• We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar third-party tracking.
• We do not set advertising cookies or retargeting pixels.
• We do not sell or rent your personal information.
• We do not share your information with advertising networks.

How we use information

We use the information you submit to respond to inquiries, deliver requested content, operate the site securely, and — if you subscribed — send you occasional updates. We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

Service providers

We use a small number of service providers to operate the site:

• Cloudflare — site hosting, storage, bot protection, and transactional email delivery.

These providers process information on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. We do not transfer your information to any other third parties except as required by law.

Retention

We keep contact form submissions and newsletter records for as long as we have a working relationship or legitimate business reason to retain them. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from our newsletter using the link in any email.
• Request a copy of the information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct or delete that information.

Security

Submissions are transmitted over TLS. Data is stored in Cloudflare's managed services and access is restricted to authorized BMC team members. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to follow current best practices.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If we materially change this policy, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
